Great response, excellent consultants and interactive lectures marked this Conference and Annual Meeting of the Automotive Cluster of Serbia, which was held at Silver Lake 12-13.05.2015, in cooperation with the EBRD. The conference has attracted great attention of companies from Serbia and the region.
Recently adopted strategy for SMEs development defined that state will support those clusters that developed fast with the least investment, says Milos Petrovic , State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy.
During the conference, eminent speakers from companies such as PSA - Peugeot Citroen Group, Renault, Grammer System, Mecaplast, Delmax and many others presented the potential for cooperation with Serbian companies. Also, a lot of informal meetings between those companies and local manufacturers of automotive parts were held.
The project of EBRD in Serbia has been operating since 2001 and this latest turnus of donor assistance from the EU is to be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy from 2011 to 2016. With 3.5 million, EBRD will assist 210 companies through cooperation with domestic consultants and 30 companies through working with international consultants, said Bojana Vukosavljevic, National Programme Manager of the EBRD.
The concept of "Lean Management" was the topic of several lectures that attracted the exceptional attention. These lectures were given by Mr. Paul Sefton - EBRD consultant from Great Britain.
The guests and members from seven countries in the region and beyond had the opportunity to expand their knowledge, exchange experiences and establish new contacts for business in new markets or with new partners.
