On 30th June 2014 in Pećinci, NALED and the Government of AP Vojvodina – Provincial Secretariat for Interregional Cooperation and Local Government, organized the first in a series of round tables within the project “Business Friendly Environment as a Driver of Development in Vojvodina”.
The project aims to promote the development potentials and best practices in the work of local governments on targeted investment promotion and introducing international business friendly standards in Vojvodina. In a direct discussion with the representatives of local businesses, foreign investors, development agencies and international organizations, the cities and municipalities from Vojvodina will have the opportunity to learn about how to create a stimulating business environment for the development of priority industries.
In the introductory part, the representatives of local governments and businesses in Vojvodina were addressed by Branislav Nedimović, member of NALED Executive Board and the Mayor of Sremska Mitrovica and Dubravka Kovačević Subotički, Mayor of Pećinci. The opening addresses were followed by a panel discussion on how to attract investments in automotive industry involving Branislav Bugarski, Provincial Secretary for Interregional Cooperation and LG, Ivo Somr, Director of Mitas Tyres, Igor Vijatov, Director of Automotive Cluster Serbia and Damir Patarčić, Foreign Investment Advisor in VIP Fund.
